Wika Festival
27 March-24 April, Windhoek
Traditional German festival that’s been held in Windhoek for the past 50 years. Cabaret shows at night, an all-night costume ball and float procession.

Biltong Festival
4 June, Windhoek
Buy some of Namibia’s best biltong at special prices.

Fish Festival
28-29 August, Henties Bay
Show your skill with a fishing rod. Last year’s winners pulled out a steenbras of 7,980 kg, a 6,905 kg kabeljou and 2,530 kg galjoen.

Windhoek Agricultural & Industrial Show
25 September-4 October, Windhoek
Namibia’s biggest agricultural show. Various food stalls, music, fireworks and the crowning of Miss Windhoek Show.

Oktoberfest
25-26 October, Windhoek
Enjoy German beer, sausage and the jolly oompah band. There’s also entertainment for children.
