Mission Impossible in the Canyon

In 1968, a group of hikers returning from the Fish River Canyon hike issued an unusual challenge to the Cape Vespa Club: Send a group to ride the trail - more than 80 km of sand and rock - on scooters.

The caption to your photo is incorrect. It should read from left: Peter Derichs, Aubrey Jackson, Terry Davidson, Tony beckley, Graham Nell and Johnnie Johnson. Note spelling of Derichs and not Derrick. Johnnie with ie not y. Cheers, Tony Beckley.
