Potato Bake bread rolls
You need
• basic bread dough
• 1 cup milk
• 1 cup cream
• 1 packet Knorr Potato Bake powder (a flavour of your choice)
• grated cheese
1. Mix it up. Preheat the oven to 180 °C. Blend the milk, cream and Potato Bake powder. Pour half of this into an ovenproof dish or into a flat-bottomed pot if you want to braai it over the coals.
2. Make rolls. Shape bread dough that has risen once into balls and put them in the oven dish with
the liquid. Leave space for the dough to rise again.
3. A cheesy topping. Pour the remaining liquid over the dough and sprinkle some grated cheese
on top. Let it rise for about half an hour and put in the oven without a lid. Bake until golden brown. If you’re cooking over the coals, do as you would with pot bread and cover the pot with a lid with a few coals on top.
Go! says: Instead of making bread dough from scratch, you can also use ready-made bread dough from a bakery or the supermarket.
