If you’re camping you can skip the baking-in-the-oven part. Just bring the sauce to the boil after you’ve added the tinned soup and milk, and then combine everything in a serving dish. Serve with a green salad.

This is an easy recipe for an everyday family meal or a camping dish for a crowd.

You need (for 4 people)
• 200 g pasta noodles
• 2 tins (185 g each) tuna in oil
• 2 tablespoons butter
• 2 celery stalks with leaves, chopped
• 1 green pepper, chopped
• 2 onions, chopped
• 1 tin (400 g) mushroom or asparagus soup
• 1 cup milk
• ¼ cup chopped fresh parsley
• salt and freshly ground pepper, to taste
• 1 cup grated cheddar cheese

Here’s how
1. Pasta pronto.
Preheat the oven to 180 ºC. Cook the pasta according to the instructions on the packet and drain in a colander.
2. Fish oil. Drain the oil from the tuna into a pan and fry the onion, celery and green pepper in it until soft. If necessary, add a little olive oil.
3. Make it soupy. Add the mushroom or asparagus soup and the milk, and keep stirring the mixture over a moderate heat.
4. Now for some substance. Add the tuna, grated cheese, parsley and cooked pasta. Season and spoon into an oven dish. Sprinkle cheese over the top and bake 20 to 30 minutes.
