Now you can bake your cake anywhere and eat it, too! Feel free to try other fillings such as cream and chocolate or lemon curd. Halve the ingredients for a smaller party.
You need
- About 35 pancakes
- For the filling
- 120g cake flour
- 120g Maizena
- 1½ cup sugar
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
- 6 eggs
- 8 cups milk
- 1 stick of cinnamon
- 4 tablespoons butter
- 1 apple
- 1 tablespoon honey
Here's how:
- First make the pancakes because the milk tart filling congeals quickly. You will need roughly 35 pancakes to produce a stack as pictured.
- Mix the cake flour, Maizena, sugar, vanilla and eggs, and put aside. Heat the milk and cinnamon in a saucepan and quickly stir in the egg/flour mixture. Bring to a boil and stir continually until it thickens.
- Build the cake layer by layer by spreading two tablespoons of milk tart filling between the pancakes. Use up all the filling and pancakes.
- Decorate the cake with apple slices fried in butter and honey.
