Ice cream spots in Cape Town
1. The Venezia Ice Cream Parlour
At Venezia in Sea Point you can buy real full-cream Italian ice cream. The strawberry sorbet is my favourite and eases my conscience because it’s “fruit.” The woman behind the counter is very genial and calm, even if you and two girlfriends arrive with teary eyes looking to soothe your heartache.
2. Purple Café
This café is on the coastal road near Melkbosstrand. The chocolate-and-vanilla soft serve in a sugar cone is my favourite. You even get a bright green Smartie-like sweet in the bottom of the cone. The opening and closing times depend on the sunshine and how full the beach is. They also sell old-fashioned loose sweets like marshmallow fish and sugar apricots.
3. The Portofino ice cream stall
After a 5 km walk on the promenade, I always reward myself with an ever-popular vanilla soft serve with a flake. This place does it best.
4. Café in the Garden
At this shop in the Company Gardens you can buy good Aylesbury ice cream for R5 a scoop and R7,50 for a double-decker. Here you can sit like a proper Lady Anne Barnard in the cool shade of trees that were planted in 1560.
5. Sinful Ice-cream Emporium
At this popular spot in Camps Bay, there's a huge selection of flavours – including Aero, Amarula and even koeksister flavour! Be prepared to stand in line for at least 10 minutes, but it’s absolutely worth it.

i think Myög in kloof street will is the best, actually they sell frozen yogurt but you complete that with toppings like fresh fruits or Oreo cookies

My number one is Ice Dream in Hout Bay! Its owned by an Italian mother and son duo. All the ice cream is made in the shop by the son. I could eat it forever!
