Jeep ¼ zip fleece
You can wear this fleece on its own, but it’s more suitable for the inside of the hiking hut rather than tramping into the teeth of a gale.
This pullover is made of thin fleece and has only a quarter-length zip. It is lighter and less bulky than other fleeces – useful if you want to wear it in conjunction with a thermal vest under a raincoat or a windbreaker without looking like the Michelin man.
Hikers favour the technique of combining several thin layers. As it gets colder or warmer, they simply put on more clothes or take some off. Layering works better than wearing a thin T-shirt and a heavy jacket, which will leave you either freezing cold or baking hot.
