First ascent equilibrium
A major drawback of a fleece jacket is that the wind cuts through it. A simple solution is to wear a windbreaker, but the extra bulk can be restrictive if you’re doing something active. That’s when a “soft shell” jacket comes in handy.
It has a tighter weave than regular fleece and is typically coated with a water-repellent layer. It comes in different thicknesses.
The Equilibrium is First Ascent’s thinnest, lightest option, so it’s good for an activity like cycling or to keep in the car for a cold day.
