Jelonet Paraffin Guaze dressing
Gauze is used to cover weeping wounds like burns or grazes. It’s meant to absorb all the stuff oozing out and to keep the antiseptic (like Betadine or Savlon) in place. All good while the wound is healing; the problem arises when the time comes to peel off the dressing and the gauze has set into the scab like steel girders in reinforced concrete.
It’s worth buying Jelonet gauze, which is impregnated with a Vaseline-like substance. It works like the Teflon coating on a non-stick frying pan, so removing the gauze is painless.
