Mobile tagging is the technology used you “tag” a physical object to link it with an Internet resource. It is mainly used to augment printed media.
Imagine an interesting story in a newspaper. Adding a tag at the end of the text gives the reader the option to find out more about the story, i.e. look at more pictures, watch a video or read background information.
