Is it Jaws? No, it’s Junior!

A swimming instructor recommended the SwimFin to us. Apparently it’s the best thing for swimming lessons, because it gets around all the problems associated with traditional swimming aids.

Water wings, for example, restrict arm movement, and a Polyotter makes Junior bob around in the water like a buoy. Because the SwimFin is strapped to the back, it leaves the arms and legs free to move and encourages a more natural swimming style.

We like the fact that it’s suitable for children of all abilities. A beginner or weak swimmer will naturally sink deeper into the water, submerging more of the SwimFin, so it provides more lift. As the swimmer becomes stronger, they support themselves more in the water, lifting higher and higher until the fin is hardly helping them at all.
