Don’t buy the Mariner 400 for gunning grade 5 rapids or crossing the Atlantic. This is a dingy designed for use on a flat, calm body of water like a dam or a swimming pool. As such, it’s the perfect recreational boat for family holidays, and also popular with fishermen (just watch out for those hooks!).
It comes with a pair of oars, but many folk opt to spend the extra money and fit a trolling motor. These are small electric motors that are light and easy to install, so they’re perfectly matched for an inflatable boat (and unlike petrol motors they’re completely silent which is a boon if you’re fishing).
