This slimmed-down backpack won’t swallow your baggage on the Fish River Canyon trail, but it has a decent 20 litres of packing space. There’s no padding on the back and shoulders, so it’ll get uncomfortable if you have to go far or really load it up, but this backpack is perfect for a quick beach outing – towel, sun cream, a few cooldrinks, something to eat, off you go.
Extra stong
The Ultra-Sil scrunches up so small that it fits in a pouch small enough to hang from your key ring. It’s made of Cordura, an extra-strong fabric that should last for years.
