Road works in the Kgalagadi

Keep an eye and books in the reception areas of the camps.

A section of road in the SA section of the Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park is being rebuilt due to damage after heavy rains. The 34 km section of gravel road between Same­vloeiing (5 km north of Twee Rivieren) and Kij Kij waterholes in the Nossob riverbed will be closed for the rest of the year.

If you’re staying at Nossob, Grootkolk, Gharagab or Bitterpan, you’ll have to take one of the dune roads between the Nossob and Auob riverbeds. Budget at least an extra hour to get to your accommodation.
