Dog days
CHRISTA WRITES: “I sneaked this photo of my sister Anèl playing with our loveable dog Lady.”
TOAST SAYS: This really is a solid photograph. It illustrates that Christa understands the basics of photography.
She got in nice and close to her subjects, cropping out any distracting background.
The lighting is soft and even, because they’re not in direct sunlight.
I like the very close crop, with the top of Anèl’s head cut off, but I would’ve given her right eye (on our left) another half-centimetre of space inside the frame. All in all, the framing helps to keep our attention in that warm, fuzzy triangle between Anèl’s eyes, nose and mouth, and Lady’s shut eyes and wet nose.
Cute? Cute indeed.
