Balule is located just south of Olifants camp and is divided into two sections: one with a few small huts and the other with a campsite. The two separate areas also have their own entrances. The camp has no electricity and light is provided by means of lanterns at night, giving the camp tremendous atmosphere.
There are only communal ablution facilities, but they do provide hot water. There is also a communal kitchen on either side with gas stoves and gas freezers. No day visitors are allowed in Balule and visitors will have to drive to Olifants camp for fuel or to go to the shop, cafeteria or restaurant.
