Malelane is a tiny camp on the bank of the Crocodile River and is situated between Malelane Gate and
Berg-en-Dal. Visitors to Malelane must book in at Berg-en-Dal. There is no reception or shop, making it is one of the smallest camps in the park and probably one of the quietest, too. A few bungalows are located next to expansive green lawns and overlook the river, but unfortunately one can see sugarcane fields and other man-made structures on the opposite bank.
The campsite is not ideal – stands are not level and shade is scarce. Visitors share a single ablution block and kitchen.

Look for these animals:
Wild dogs are often found along the Crocodile River on either the S114 or S25, or any of the small gravel roads in the area.
White rhino sightings are plentiful on the S110 & S120, especially near Matjulu Waterhole.
Leopards are often spotted along the S110 gravel road, so drive it slowly.
