Skukuza is the largest camp in the Kruger National Park and can get very busy. It has more facilities than any other camp in the park, including a post office, bank, library, museum and two restaurants! Many tour groups stay here because there's ample accommodation and facilities. If you like people, a large shop and a great variety of facilities, Skukuza is perfect, but if you prefer something more quiet, rather visit one of the smaller camps up north.
Skukuza is located on the bank of the Sabie River, giving one of the restaurants, the cafeteria and the river bungalows a fantastic river view. Game viewing around Skukuza is also very good, since water is plentiful and the vegetation is diverse. It can, however, get very crowded on the roads during the holiday season.
To explore Skukuza, scroll over the map below to view different areas of the camp. For more information and photos of specific facilities, just click on the respective icon. To explore the road system around camp, follow the game-viewing link on the right.
