Matjulu Waterhole

(On the S110 gravel road)

leopard in tree

This leopard was photographed from the viewing area at Matjulu Waterhole!

Matjulu Waterhole on the S110 gravel road is one of the most scenic in the area and can be extremely productive; it is always worth a visit! White rhinos are often found near the water and leopards frequent the rocky outcrops and thick riverine vegetation. Early mornings and late afternoons are the best to find these cats.

The waterhole itself is close to a viewing
area, making it great for photography. It
can also be viewed from above on the
gravel approach.

It is always worth spending a bit of time
at Matjulu Waterhole. Animals come and go all the time, so be patient.
