Common duiker

Common duikers (also known as grey duikers) are found throughout the park, but are often missed because they are very well camouflaged when they stand still. Their small size also makes it very easy for them to hide. When seen, they often leap away into the tickets. Males have small
dagger-like horns while females don't have horns.

Top tips:
Look for common duikers in areas that are relatively dense.

They often freeze when first seen and then leap away very quickly.

Don't mistake it with the steenbok, which is more red in colour, or the Sharpe's grysbok, which is darker in colour and has white stripes on its body.
