The diminutive Sharpe's grysbok is an inconspicious little antelope that is often mistaken for a steenbok. It is about the same size as a steenbok, but has a darker red colour and small white stripes all over its coat. They are most plentiful in the far north of the Kruger National Park in the vicinities of Shingwedzi and Punda Maria, mostly along rivers where the vegetation is dense.

Top tips:
Sharpe's grysbok are most common in the far north of the park in the Punda Maria Sandveld ecozone.
Also look for them around Shingwedzi in the thickets next to the Shingwedzi and Mphongolo Rivers.
