Very common along rivers and in many camps |
Vervet monkeys are very common along the rivers of the Kruger National Park. They also live in many of the camps where they often cause a lot of trouble. Although many of the camp vervets still live on their natural diet, some have become beggars. Having become used to human food, they will raid tents, caravans or bungalows if these are left open.
PLEASE DON'T FEED THE VERVET MONKEYS!
If people feed them, the vervet monkeys become a nuisance and eventually have to be killed by park officials.

Stay at these camps:
Satara
Maroela
Skukuza
Berg-en-Dal
Drive these roads:
S25 gravel road
H4-1 tar road
S39 gravel road

Look for vervet monkeys in any camp that is located next to a river.
Always make sure you lock away all food and close you bungalow, safari tent, caravan or tent when you go on a game drive!
