Six of the Magnificent Seven big tuskers live in the area around Letaba and Shingwedzi: João, Dzombo, Shawu, Mafunyane, Ndlulamithi and Shingwedzi.

You can have the entire Sable Hide with its nine beds to yourself. This is as close to the lions as you’re going to get.

Letaba’s campsite is large, shady and level. Most stands have a square brick floor of about 2x5m.

For only R295 you can stay in a safari tent for two. You share the ablution facilities with other visitors. There’s a fridge and a fan in the tent, but you have to take your own eating utensils.
