As final arrangements have been made for the demolition of the Athlone Cooling Towers at noon on Sunday 22 August, go! magazine's Le Roux Schoeman went to pay one last visit to these awesome structures...
- Officers from City Law Enforcement Services, Metro Police, City Traffic Services, Provincial Traffic Services as well as the South African Police Services (SAPS) will be deployed on the demolition day to enforce road closures. No-one will be allowed within a 300m exclusion zone.
