The first part of the trail goes along an old farm road, where natural veld is slowly reclaiming the old farmland.

For a hike with a difference, you can"t beat the hike into Gamkaskloof with donkeys carrying your luggage.

These proteas are just one of the dozens of beautiful flower species you"re likely to spot on the trail, many of them found nowhere else.

The mountain pool at the camp is at the bottom of a small waterfall. It’s the perfect place to rest your limbs after climbing the Swartberg.

Thyme and Buddy have a drink at the camp after their<br />12 km slog.
