Groote Post's famous country meat pie.

Hilda’s Kitchen, Groote Post’s well-loved restaurant, has devised an attractive new menu for the summer season. The West Coast is becoming an increasingly attractive tourist destination, and taking a drive to Groote Post is a great way to see the area.
    Situated in the Darling Hills, only one hour's drive from Cape Town, the farm is a wonderful family destination with a jungle gym and rolling lawns where children can play, nature walks, bird-watching and game drives in their 2 000-hectare game camp.
    Visitors to Hilda's Kitchen will also be spoilt for choice with a diverse array of innovative creations,  devised by Debbie McLaughlin, cordon bleu chef. These include braised oxtail with butternut and cinnamon on creamy polenta and the famous country lamb pie, accompanied by Groote Post wines.
