Date: 3 August 2010

Go! reader Piet Steyn believes he caught on film the tail end of a “freak accident” during a recent game drive in the Kruger National Park.
Piet and his family were driving in two vehicles towards Lower Sabie Rest Camp on Sunday, 18 July 2010 when a bushbuck ran full tilt into the side of the second vehicle, a Mercedes. The rattled game watchers turned around to check on the antelope and saw to their astonishment that the bushbuck had become a leopard’s prey.
Piet says: “We suspect the bushbuck was being chased by the leopard when it ran into the Mercedes.”

Pictures of the car taken subsequently show a dent in the back door, but fortunately none of the passengers were hurt.
