SAPO strike

We are receiving complaints from subscribers regarding their magazine delivery and the SAPO strike in certain areas. This is the latest communication from the SAPO Communication department:

 

Dear Client

As you may be aware, the South African Post Office has been experiencing service interruptions for some time. This is due to an ongoing labour dispute involving contract workers and labour brokers.

Our ultimate goal remains rendering the quality of service our customers deserve. To this end we are working tirelessly to reach a negotiated settlement that will ensure a long-term solution on this matter.

We have already made great strides in resolving this matter and have also put in place contingency measures to ensure that we are still able to service our customers while the negotiations are ongoing.

I run a online business I use sapo for my all my postage I always defend them because I have never had an item get lost or go missing the ladies at umbilo po are excellent friendly and efficient , however in the last month and a half I have lost 80 % of my clients due to non delivary I have started a refund policy (first time in 5 years) this strike is about to put me out of business I send and receive 1000 packages a year I employ 13 people 9 of them are on short time as the business has stalled is this how the government intend to keep us in the country its a crying shame

They are a lot of s*&^$!! Just like all the other government departments. Never took care of Customer Service. Even the Old Fat lady answering the Phonecalls are on strike!! That`s why SA is all over the news overseas!! Pathetic

PATHETIC!!!!!!! I HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR ONE MONTH FOR A SMALL PARCEL THAT I NEED URGENTLY AND ALL RESPONSE I GET IS...EISH... THE WORKERS ARE STRIKING! ME I DONT KNOW WHEN WE GET YOUR PARCEL THERE.... THEY ARE QUICK TO STRIKE FOR MORE MONEY BUT THEY ARE NOT WILLING TO DO THE WORK! THEY WOULD RATHER SIT AROUND DOING NOTHING! THEY COMPLAIN THEY ARE SO TIRED BUT WHEN YOU ENTER A POST OFFICE THEY ALL SIT AROUND DOING NOTHING AND IT SEEMS THAT THEY ARE ALWAYS ON LUNCH! WAKE UP SOUTH AFRICAN POSTAL WORKERS! ONE OF THESE DAYS NO ONE WILL HAVE WORK AT THE POST OFFICE BECAUSE NO ONE WILL USE THE POST OFFICE ANYMORE FOR ANYTHING!!!
