Scifest has been going since 1997, and has become a popular attraction for teachers, lecturers and learners alike. It’s designed to appeal to both laypersons and scientific professionals.
With exciting exhibitions, lectures and hands-on workshops, the festival aims to laugh, think and ask questions.
Science and maths literacy among South African learners rates very low in comparison to the rest of the world. With more events like this to show us all how exciting and invigorating science can be, we might improve this.
